Bobby & Teddi Cyrus

Singer-Songwriters | Multi-Instrumentalists

Rooted deep in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and bound together by a shared love of traditional music, family values, and authentic storytelling, Bobby & Teddi Cyrus have become one of bluegrass and country music’s most compelling husband-and-wife duos. Their music blends Appalachian heritage, heartfelt songwriting, rich harmonies, and an unmistakable connection that can only come from two artists who have lived the stories they sing.

Together, Bobby and Teddi bring generations of musical tradition to every performance, creating a sound that feels both timeless and refreshingly genuine. Whether delivering a heartfelt ballad, a gospel-inspired anthem, or an energetic crowd-pleaser, the duo’s chemistry shines through every note.

Born and raised in Louisa, Kentucky, Bobby Cyrus grew up surrounded by music. Family reunions often turned into all-night jam sessions around campfires, where he learned guitar, songwriting, and the traditions that would shape his artistic identity. Influenced by legendary artists such as Waylon Jennings, Ricky Skaggs, Larry Cordle, Keith Whitley, and Kris Kristofferson, Bobby developed a songwriting style rooted in honesty, heritage, and real-life experiences.

His musical journey took a significant turn through a friendship with legendary songwriter Tom T. Hall, who welcomed Bobby into his publishing company, Good Home Grown Music. Bobby’s acclaimed solo work, including the album Homeplace, showcased his ability to blend traditional country storytelling with Appalachian soul. Though many recognize the Cyrus surname through his family ties to Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus, Bobby has forged a musical path uniquely his own through years of songwriting, touring, and performing alongside artists including the late Johnny Paycheck and Charlie Daniels.

Teddi Leigh Cyrus brings an equally impressive musical pedigree to the duo. Raised in the small community of Drift, Kentucky, she first discovered her love for music singing in her grandfather’s church. Blessed with a natural ear for music, Teddi learned piano, banjo, and bass by ear while developing the powerful vocal style that would later captivate audiences throughout the region.

At just twelve years old, Teddi joined productions at the Jenny Wiley Theatre before earning a coveted spot with the Kentucky Opry at age thirteen. For six years she performed in hundreds of productions, showcasing not only her vocal talent but also her skills as a clogger and entertainer. After stepping away from music to focus on raising her children, Teddi eventually returned to the stage, reigniting the passion that had always remained close to her heart.

Their paths crossed while performing in East Kentucky, and the connection was immediate. After marrying on May 9, 2015, Bobby and Teddi began building both a life and a musical partnership together. Their years performing at the Cyrus Family Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, further strengthened their chemistry as entertainers and laid the groundwork for a recording career as a duo.

Today, Bobby & Teddi Cyrus proudly carry their bluegrass roots forward as recording artists for Pinecastle Records. Their music reflects the people, places, and values that shaped them while embracing the excitement of new creative chapters.

The duo’s latest release, “Hillbilly Hoedown,” showcases their fun-loving spirit and deep Appalachian roots. The upbeat original captures the energy of a backwoods celebration, complete with infectious melodies, spirited instrumentation, and the kind of authentic mountain charm that has become their trademark. It’s a song that invites listeners to kick up their heels, gather with family and friends, and celebrate the traditions that bring people together.

With powerful vocals, heartfelt songwriting, and an unwavering commitment to their roots, Bobby & Teddi Cyrus continue to connect with audiences across the country. Their music is a celebration of faith, family, heritage, and the enduring spirit of Appalachian culture—proving that some of the best stories are still being told through song.
